Actress Shabnam Faria, who has recently reduced her acting career, is once again in the limelight, but this time for a bold personal decision.
The actress, who is currently seen as a judge on a popular comedy show, shared a post on her social media that has sparked a lot of discussions.
In the post, Faria revealed that she has given up both on dating and watching the Bangladesh cricket team`s matches.
Last Thursday, Bangladesh`s performance against India left many disappointed. Batting first, Bangladesh managed only 228 runs in 49.4 overs, and India won the match with 6 wickets remaining.
For Faria, this was the last straw in her frustration with the team’s performances in the ICC Champions Trophy.
Expressing her disappointment, Faria wrote on Facebook,
"I have stopped dating and watching Bangladesh cricket team`s matches. Neither of these things has brought me anything but pain." She further clarified, “This is not a funny status. It`s a very sad one."
When the actress was contacted for a comment, she explained her post more lightheartedly to the media. "I posted it just for fun. It’s nothing serious. I was watching the match, and at one point, I felt like I just couldn’t watch anymore. Every time Bangladesh plays, I decide I won’t watch, but I always do. When Bangladesh is playing, I can’t help but feel the urge to watch and see how they perform. That`s all."
While Shabnam Faria’s personal thoughts have grabbed attention, her professional life remains active.
Her latest appearance was in the drama Bharprapto Bou, directed by Sajin Ahmed Babu, where she starred alongside Mosharraf Karim.
Her humorous yet emotional post has sparked a conversation about the ups and downs of being a cricket fan, as well as the actress’s candidness about her personal life.
